Sshhh...Don't Tell!!

I just made treats for my sweet friend, Tangee. She is so nice and I wanted to show her my appreciation! She has a lovely blog at asparklymessylife.blogspot.com Check out her lovely necklaces and jewelry! I have found I make fun stuff when I'm not under stress to get the items done. My imagination can go crazy!

I want to start making things for my etsy shop, I just get so busy with everything else! I also seem to have more fun when I am making things for people I love and care for. The items just seem to be better.
This was my most favorite. I love making fun things out of old ugly things!
Here is some of my Halloween fun! That is one thing I LOVE to do-decorate!
A little creepy laboratory.

Just about the time our colors started to change we got a huge wind storm, and this tree is about the only pretty tree left in the yard. We are surrounded by maple trees, so fall is beautiful!

Our lovely country road! Aaahhh, I love it! TTFN!

Treasures!

I am so ashamed. It has been quite a while since I posted anything. I have hit 3 auctions, a few yard sales, and a flea market since my last post, and have had too many things to put away and take care of! Here are just a few of the items I have gotten. Got this wonderful set of glasses for $3.00!!! Love this spooky looking postcard. Fun, huh?
Here are some more fun things for art.
I got this key hole and broken watch for art. The charms on the watch are great, aren't they? The material it is laying on is part of a HUGE black and tan tassle I found at the flea market.

Stereotype pics. I love the one of the couple kissin in the punkin patch!
The buy of the whole month(maybe even year)! This guy said he would give me any of the old papers for a dollar each or $17.00 for the whole box!!! There are WAY more than 17 papers in this! I made out like a bandit! There are antique calling cards, advertising cards, books, postcards, cut-outs, everything! All 1922 or earlier! Woo-Hoo!
Now for a taste of Halloween. I got this platter and these stickers(plus several more) from Dollar Tree! Love it!
I don't have much up for Halloween yet. I know, I'm behind. I do have this little vignette, though. The glittery pumpkin is from a Halloween swap I was in. My partner Heidi sent it to me. I will be posting pics. of all the stuff I got on Oct. 8th. BTW, Happy October! TTFN!

Blessed

I realized I haven't shared much of my art and such, so I am posting this collage I did in the spring. I certainly am "Blest":) Sometimes we think things are so bad, but in the grand scheme of things, it really isn't that bad at all. To have one's family and the love that they give is really one of life's true blessings! TTFN!

Aaar, Matey!

Aaar! All hands on deck! Especially all ye seadogs!
Grab ye pirate rum(pina colada juice:), and meet your mateys for a 10 year celebration of Pickle's birthday!
Don't let Capt. Jack Sparrow know we swiped his "rum" stash,
and don't let the skeletons eat all the cake!
Most important, don't forget ye treasure! Now walk the plank!! TTFN!

Elisabeth, NO PEEKING!!

I'm finally done with my projects for the Desert Island Swap! This stuff is for my swap partner, Elisabeth. I hope she isn't looking! If she is, she better turn back! This was somewhat of a challenge as she likes royal and brighter colors, and I am a pastel girl! She is also a big fan of Johnny Depp(who isn't!).
She makes jewelry, so I hope she can use these beads!

I am so excited about the swap! This was my first one, so I really don't know what to expect. As soon as my stuff arrives from her I will definitely be posting pics! TTFN!

Desert Island Swap Project

I am so excited! I have my first item done for my swap partner, Elisabeth! She likes to write, so I thought it would be fun to alter a notebook for her. It was so nice to finally have time to do some art! My only problem is I still can't write very fancy yet. I had a lot of fun doing it, I just hope she doesn't decide to visit my blog!
I put tons of ribbon and fibers on the side as well as a nice pen, a key, beads, and other stuff.
I thought I was done and realized the back didn't match, so I gave the back some pretties, too. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. We're going to an auction, so hopefully I get some good deals. TTFN!

My Finished Project

This is my new piece that I just finished. It is so cute I almost kept it for myself! I already listed it though. I don't know what my next project will be. I usually just play it by ear. I love vintagy glittery stuff(as you can see)! And I love making something out of nothing. This WAS a dark green plaque with a moose stenciled on it. I had so much fun doing it!
I missed AI last night! I had a jewelry party to go to! We got on youtube first thing this morning to watch how David Cook did. I just knew he would do a song from Phantom of the Opera! It wasn't rockish like his other ones, but he proved he can pretty much sing anything. It was so pretty! But I love that song anyway. Gotta go for now! TTFN!
